No Time Like The Present To Put Myself Out There
Now that the winter weather has passed, and spring rains are upon us, I am looking forward to actually getting out and meeting people like I plan to do. Up to this point this month, I had not been able to because every Wednesday since the beginning of the month there has been no church until last Wednesday when I was in Branson with my daughter. This week, I plan to change all that, because this Wednesday I am going to one of the churches.
When I spoke to those people in Branson last week, I know I should have shared my business card with them and told them that I was going to have my book When God Turned His Head available free on Kindle on April 4 & 5, but I just didn’t have the guts to do it. Perhaps I should have, but now it is too late. It was, as far as I am concerned, a missed opportunity.
Last week I did share a copy of each of my published books with my business card included to a silent auction to earn money for a worthy cause. I also have let some sites know that I am going to be giving my books for free on those days. I do however feel really bad that I didn’t share with those employees in Branson. I think they would have enjoyed a free copy of my book. I really need to learn to put myself out there. What is the worst that could happen? Someone say no thanks?
I still have not picked up my most recent draft of A Coward’s Solace from my first Beta reader. That should happen this week. I really need to get the next step done so that I can move forward toward getting the book published for the general public.
Cygnet Brown has recently published her first nonfiction book: Simply Vegetable Gardening: Simple Organic Gardening Tips for the Beginning Gardener
She is also the author of historical fiction series The Locket Saga. Her upcoming book A Coward’s Solace will be available soon. Click here for more information about Cygnet Brown and her books.
It will happen when it happens, and you will move forward when you are ready. Best wishes this week, my friend.
I don’t know Bill, sometimes I am almost afraid that I will not do everything I want to in this life because I have had that philosophy.
