End of the Month

Can you believe that it is the end of June already? Not only is it the end of the month, but it is also the half way point of the year. this month, I have completed the main project that I have set out to do. I have finished the second draft of my upcoming book: Sailing Under The Black Flag. I also wrote all of the Bubblews that I said that I would write this month. Ihave done some work on my travel trailer, I have done some painting and I have installed the air conditioner, however, there is so many more projects to complete.

End Of The First Half Of The Year

Here is how i am doing affirmations that I have set up so far for this year:

January” ” I am organized and productive. As you know, I moved at the beginning of the month and had to move quickly so I have been working this month at trying to get organized. I have not finished it yet, but I have made a start. I have been painting my kitchen cabinets and painted the desk in my livingroom. It is really starting to take shape.

February: “I am energetic, fit,, strong, and healthy”..I am continuing to eat healthy foods. During this month, my daughter has been visiting, and I have been super hot. When I am uncomfortable I tend to eat. I feel uncomfortable when I am hot so I have found myself eating more than I should. Also when my daughter is visiting, I like to take her out to eat and so again, i am eating more. Exercising has also not been high on my to do list so it has not been done either.

March:  “I First seek to Understand, then seek to be understood” I think that I have fallen short in this area too. Both in the understanding and being understood part. My husband and his girlfriend decided to come down here for a camping trip while my daughter was here. They then asked her to go with them. She, of course, wanted to go because they were also going on a float trip. All this was during few days that I had to be with my daughter. I ended up yelling at my daughter for wanting to go. I feel bad about it.. I tried to understand, but I am certain that I have not been understood.

April:“I am a spiritual being in a physical body”. With this one, I seem to be becoming more and more aware that this is true. The problems that I have been facing lately have been a challenge both for me physically and spiritually. I have been living on my spiritual edge.

May: “I am In Control of My Destiny.” I have been having to remind myself of this constantly this month. I am in control, even though I do not feel like it right now. I am having to take life one day at a time, forgive myself of my mistakes and move on. This is after all a journey.

June: “I am a Prolific Writer” Yes, I am a prolific writer. I am almost as I thought I was!  I have found that Parkinson’s Law is indeed true for the most part. Work does fill the time available for it,  but it does have its limits. I missed two of these blog posts.I did however meet my goal of finishing the second draft of Sailing Under The Black Flag.

Looking Ahead To The Second Half Of The Year

As you probably guessed, one of my goals for July is to finish the second draft of yet another book this one is In the Shadow Of The Mill Pond. Again, finishing this draft in July will keep me on track to finish the three books that I intend to publish this year.  I intend to publish A Coward’s Solace at the end of July, to publish Sailing Under the Black Flag in September. In November for NaNoWriMo, I will be doing the first draft of a book that is not yet named(book 6 of the Locket Saga. I will then be publishing In the Shadow of the Mill Pond in December..Although I am somewhat keeping up with the affirmations of the first half of the year, there are a few of the goals that I wrote at the beginning of the year that I have not actually started working on yet.  The main goal that I have not yet accomplished or actually started working on much is selling 1000 books per month. i am nowhere near that number. I will really start focusing on that goal after I finish the second draft of In The Shadow Of The Mill Pond in July. I have actually been seeing some ways that I should be able to make that happen. In addition to finishing the two novels and getting my trailer fixed up, this is going to be my main focus during the second half of the year.
