Will you live forever with the one who died to save you?

Will you live forever with the one who died to save you?

Do you want to feel good about who you are? If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you should feel good about the person that you have become in Christ.

In I John 4:16 & 17, It says: “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwells in love dwells in God and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of Judgement.

There is coming a day of final reckoning called the day of judgement. That is when God judges the nations for not recognizing that he is The Sovereign God, the one who created the entire universe. However, if you have made Christ the Lord of your life, you have nothing to worry about. He’s got you covered. For this you can stand (gratefully) tall.

In I John 5:11& 12 it says: “And this is the record that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life, and he that has not the Son of God has not life.”

You are spirit. We are all spirit and we will exist forever, but where will you exist forever? To live forever with all that is good, what a blessing! Can you imagine? That is what God wants for every one of us! If you however do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have serious problems. The final judgement is not something that you want to have to face without Jesus Christ on your side, but there is a simple fix. Ask God to forgive you of your sins (especially the sin of neglecting to recognize that God has every right to be in control). Let him know that you are asking Jesus to be the Lord of your life. Most importantly, GOD wants you to save you for eternal life. He just has this one requirement for salvation.

Believe in the power of life and love that is in his son Jesus, Christ.

What should I do now?

What should I do now?

In this we posture ourselves through building our network. Posturing as you will remember from past posts is making ourselves look and feel good and builds self confidence and success.

My website

Everyone should have a website. At one time, you could put a website up on the web and let it sit and lots of people would show up. That is not the case anymore. To posture for success in an online social network, it is important to have a well-crafted website to fully posture in networking.
Helping Others
I have heard it said that ‘people don’t care how much you know as long as they know how much you care.”
Someone who comes to your site wants to know that they can come to your site without being bombarded with advertisements begging for you to buy this or that. What they want is for you to share with them enough so that they know that they can trust you. The first thing that you have to sell is yourself. After that, the rest is easy.
Just because someone doesn’t purchase something from you, does not make them or their enquiry a waste of your time or effort. Though the visitor may not buy anything, they could become allies The more helpful you were, the more vocal they will be. And who knows, one day they may require your services.

Make Friends

Social media has made it possible to reach out to others as never before. Be it having a blog, using Facebook, using Twitter, or using Youtube or any combinations of other sites, social media gives you a way to posture to the world.
Online press releases also help give you credibility online. When a news service picks up your press releases and you remain consistent, you will develop a way to grow more confidently than imaginable. Make certain that you r press releases explain what is involved or who is doing what or why should they even care?
While on social media sites, like Linkedin, Facebook and twitter, it is important to build excitement and interest. You have to participate.
Respect Those Around You
The best way to use social media is not jumping onto Twitter and following everyone you can to spam them with your books or other products. The last thing you should do is create a Facebook business page and tell all your friends and family to “follow you” only to inundate them with a call to action of “Contact us today to find out more”.

Instead, make all your interactions on your chosen social network medium about relating to others in a positive way. Avoid at all cost negative comments they only alienate everyone around you. . Help them and show them that you are not trying to simply sell to them, but to get to know them as the real people that they are.

Don’t Bore Others With Your Accomplishments

Don’t make all your social network interactions only about you. Make your network about others and share in their interactions on occasions.
If a member of your network has just landed a big deal, got married, expanded their business or is simply going along nicely, comment on it and share their news with the rest of your followers. Even if all you do is congratulate them on their achievements, it shows that you are interested in more than just what you have done

Give and Expect Nothing In Return

Not that you are likely to get nothing, but there is a law of reciprocity in which says that when you give, you will receive more than you gave in return. Make it a habit that Every time someone does you a good turn, do them one in return even if it is just an email thanking them.

Never take more than you have already put in. Take your time and be patient. Remember, building your network will take some time and effort and the last thing you want to be doing is undermining said effort by soliciting business at every conceivable opportunity. Remember to pay it forward.

Connect with Others Emotionally

The key difference between being connected to a social network versus participating in one, is that they are not one and the same and to approach them as such would be fool hardy at best. The second means that you have a vested time interest in the network.
By Investing time and effort on cultivating a social network, you will see returns. Sign up to or simply Post relevant articles on your website to Facebook or tweet on twitter several times per day and comment on other people’s posts. You only get back what you put into social media

My daughter when she was in the third grade. she is a natural when it comes to confidence.

My daughter when she was in the third grade. she is a natural when it comes to confidence.

Last post, we talked about what we could do to appear confident. Today, we are going to discuss what we can do to feel more confident.

Walk Faster

When I was in the Navy reserve, I learned a little trick that helped keep me out of trouble even when I didn’t have anything constructive to do. I learned to walk in the halls and not stroll where I wanted to go but walked fast (and carrying a folder with papers in it didn’t hurt anything either.)
Not only did it keep me out of trouble, but it also made me feel energetic and purposeful even though I was walking nowhere. Imagine what walking fast would have done for me if I had actually had somewhere to go.
People who walk fast walk with confidence. They have places to go, people to see and important things to do. Even if they are not in a hurry, walking fast increases self-confidence and makes you feel more important.

Exercise

Along the same lines as walking fast, physical exercise has a huge effect on self-confidence. After I lost weight, I realized how much better I felt. When I was out of shape, I felt insecure, unattractive, and lacked energy. By exercising, I improve my physical appearance, create more energy, and accomplish something positive. With discipline to exercise, I feel better and it creates positive momentum that I am able to build on daily.

Personal Commercial

I wrote a wrote a 60 second speech that highlights my strengths and goals. I recite it in front of the mirror aloud on a daily basis to boost my confidence. In addition, I read over the affirmations that I have been adding to over the past year. If I don’t feel that I have expressed that affirmation in my actions that day, I will focus on that affirmation the following day.

Expressing Gratitude

I try to avoid focusing on what I can’t do and prefer to dwell on what I can do. IN addition, I try to focus on feeling gratitude and expressing it whenever I can. Every night, I write down one or two new things to my gratitude list and read over the entire list and focus on feeling the gratitude. Gratitude helps me focus on what I have rather than what I have not.

Encouraging Others

A couple of weeks ago I was talking with a young man at work and found out that he was also a writer, but he suffered from writer’s block. I gave him a number of suggestions to help him get unstuck.
When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of encouraging others. By encouraging others, you build self confidence. By bringing out the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

Raise Your Hand and Volunteer

In schools, offices, and public assemblies around the world, people constantly strive to sit at the back of the room and God forbid that they volunteer for anything. Most people prefer the back because they’re afraid of being noticed. This reflects their lack of self confidence. By deciding to raise your hand when something is asked for you to do, you can get over this irrational fear and build your self confidence. You’ll also be more visible to the important people who are involved in your network.

Focus Your Goals On What You Can Do For Others

Too often we get caught up in our own desires. We focus too much on ourselves and not enough on the needs of other people. If you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on the contribution you’re making to the rest of the world, you won’t worry as much about you own flaws. This will increase self confidence and allow you to contribute with maximum efficiency. The more you contribute to the world the more you’ll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.

Improving Posture To Boost Confidence.

Have you ever noticed that when you improve your posture, your confidence improves? When I sit up straight, with my shoulders back, and my chin up, I feel better. When I stand with my shoulders back, my chin up, and my hips aligned with my shoulders and walk gently moving my arms naturally, my confidence soars. Improving my posture makes a difference in how I relate to other people.

Posturing Not Just About How I Carry Myself

Launching August 31, 2015: Book III of the Locket Saga: A Coward's Solace.

Launching August 31, 2015: Book III of the Locket Saga: A Coward’s Solace.

However, posture is not just about how I carry myself, but it has everything to do with confidence building and that’s what the affirmation this month is all about. As I finish writing the second drafts of both books I still intend to finish this year. (Book 4 of the Locket Saga: Sailing Under The Black Flag and Book Five of the Locket Saga: In the Shadow Of The Millpond) I am also getting ready to launch Book 3 of the Locket Saga: A Coward’s Solace which I intend to launch on August 31, 2015. Posture in this case refers to building the confidence that I need to launch and market my books.

Posturing in this case relates to having the confidence to step out into the world with my book in hand and networking with others to get publicity for this book.

I have a confession to make. I have not been overly confident in my abilities, but that is changing.I know that I am a good writer. I have learned from many of the mistakes that I made with my first books. I have learned how to make each one of by books better as I have written each of them.

So posturing in book writing, first involves knowing that the book that I have written is the best book that it can possibly be.

Posturing With My Appearance

One of my goals for 2015 was the goal that I would not leave the house unless I looked my best. This relates to marketing in that when people see me on the street, they will see me as a confident professional person who is in control of her life. When I leave the house looking my best, that is nothing fake about that. I do feel my best when I leave the house and look as though I cared about how I look.

When I know I look good and feel confident, I am more likely to be able to walk into a business and convince the decision maker of that business that they want my books in their store.

Posturing With Good Online Copy

Another way that I posture, is that when i write I do my best to write good copy online. As an author, that is important because if my online content is not legible and relatively free of mistakes, no one is going to want to read my books because they are likely put together as carelessly as my online content.

Posturing In Other Ways

There are other ways to posture for success than how someone looks. During this month, I will be discussing other ways that I posture for success, how I build my confidence especially as it relates to the idea of marketing my books. I hope this month is as informative to you as I am certain it will be to you.
