Almost Ready to Move In

This past week has been really busy around here. I had workmen here early in the week working on setting up the utilities. We got the water, electricity, and sewer established. I took a shower in my own bathroom for the first time Sunday! It felt good to pass that milestone! I have so much more to do around here, but why don’t you take a look what all we have accomplished!

First, we had to get new floors and some of the electricity updated inside the trailer. I even put new light fixtures in the kitchen, bedrooms, and hallway.

Next, I painted. I started with the ceilings and then after repairing some damages in the walls, I painted them. It took me two full weeks to get the main painting done. There’s still a lot of detailed work and trim to paint, but I am pleased with my progress.

I brought my cat Neko down here on Mother’s Day weekend (daughter Boni was keeping her for me until I got more settled), and she seems to enjoy her new life here in the country. I am glad however, that I still have not brought any livestock into the picture. I had been hoping that by now I would at least have chickens, but I have been so busy trying to set up the trailer and gardens that I think it would have been too much for me. I already see so many things that demand my attention that I haven’t got the time or the energy to do yet. However, I have to keep reminding myself that I am making progress every day.
As you can see, I am already moving a few things. I have put in the bedrooms and in the bathroom so that I can keep the kitchen and living areas open to make working in those rooms easier. I’ll show more of what I have done as I complete certain spaces!
So, now you’ve seen what I am doing. What have you been doing with your time?
I’m very excited for you. May your new home be filled with happiness and love for a long, long time.
Thank you!
